Who We Are?
We're GrowthSchool. And we built Outskill.
GrowthSchool started with one belief: you learn a skill fastest from the person actually doing it. So we partnered with the top 1% of instructors to build high-impact, cohort-based courses in personal and professional growth for learners around the world and used AI to make that learning personal at a scale a classroom never could.
Then AI changed what "upskilling" even means. Roles started getting rewritten faster than curriculums could keep up, and the real divide stopped being skilled versus unskilled. It became AI-ready versus not.
So, we built Outskill, our AI education arm, to close that gap, practical, implementation-first AI training for professionals, teams and enterprises. Today Outskill is one of the largest AI education companies in the world: 16M+ learners across 160+ countries, and programs running everywhere from individual upskilling to enterprise AI transformation.
Our mission: Make 100 million people AI-ready by 2028.
What that actually feels like day to day: we're 300+ people, moving at a speed that surprises most people who join us. Products ship in weeks, not quarters. There's no thick layer of process between an idea and it going live. You'll own things visibly bigger than your title. Some experiments will fail publicly, and we'll talk about them openly on Monday.
If you need a finished playbook before you start, this will be uncomfortable. If you'd rather write the playbook, you'll like it here.
Why This Role Exists
The AI ecosystem changes every day.
New models launch. Research papers introduce new capabilities. Startups build interesting products. Developers discover new workflows. Founders share their perspectives. Entire conversations emerge around technologies that could change how people work.
The challenge isn't finding information. There's more information than anyone can consume.
The real skill is knowing what matters, understanding why it matters, and connecting the dots.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys exploring the AI ecosystem, following interesting people, reading about new developments, and figuring out what's happening beneath the surface.
You don't need to be an academic researcher. You need to be curious, investigative, and willing to go beyond the obvious.

- Track developments across AI models, tools, products, research, and companies.
- Explore Twitter/X, Reddit, Substack, research blogs, and AI communities.
- Discover interesting developments, ideas, and perspectives.

4. Experimentation & Building
- Experiment with AI tools that improve research and information discovery.
- Build repeatable research workflows.
- Explore new ways to track developments and identify interesting stories.
- Test different approaches to analysing and explaining AI developments.

The Bottom Line
If you love exploring the internet, reading about new technologies, discovering interesting ideas, and understanding how things connect, this could be for you.
You don't need to know everything about AI. You need the curiosity to investigate, the patience to understand, and the ability to explain what you've discovered.
You'll have the opportunity to turn curiosity into insight and help Outskill make sense of the AI world.
